Am I on Track for Retirement?

Wondering how much you need to retire? The answer depends on your expected lifestyle, healthcare costs, where you live, and how long your retirement will last. Our realistic retirement calculator takes all of these factors into account to give you a personalized projection.

A common rule of thumb is the 4% safe withdrawal rate— withdrawing 4% of your savings annually to make them last 30 years. But everyone's situation is different. Our retirement drawdown calculator models your specific income sources, expenses, and tax situation to determine if your savings will last through retirement.

Unlike a simple retirement calculator, our tool factors in inflation, state-specific taxes, required minimum distributions, and multiple income streams. Whether you're estimating retirement expenses for the first time or fine-tuning an existing plan, this retirement budget planner gives you the clarity you need.

Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) Tables

Starting at age 73, the IRS requires you to take minimum withdrawals from your traditional 401(k) and IRA accounts. These required minimum distributions are calculated using IRS life expectancy factor tables. Failing to take your RMD can result in a 25% penalty on the amount not withdrawn.

Our calculator automatically computes your RMDs based on your account balances and the current IRS distribution period table.
